Each spring, the Grand Traverse Conservation District holds a Seedling Sale in April to help landowners control erosion, establish windbreaks, privacy screens, or living snow fences, improve wildlife habitat, reforest idle lands, establish riparian buffers, or simply beautify their land.
Thank you for your support, through our annual seedling and native plant sales! Please take a look around our website to learn more about the work that these sales support.
Overall sponsorship of the Seedling Sale and Native Plants Sale has been Traverse City Light & Power's gift to the District and our customers for the past ten years. They also contribute over 10,000 white pine seedlings annually to area school children. Thousands of other seedlings have been donated over the years that have been planted at the Natural Education Reserve, along the TART Trail, and on sensitive sites along the Boardman River. For more information on the school seedling program, e-mail us
Keeping in mind that we do not ship orders, if you would like to receive our annual catalog and order form, send your mailing address to info@gtcd.org.
